For best results, we recommend leaving the shower to dry over night before our visit and then for a further night after the work has been done. If you only have one shower, you can use it the night before but you must wipe it down with a towel. The dryer the shower, the better results you will get. So a few weeks drying with a bucket under shower head catching any drips is ideal.
Typically around 3 to 4 hours; this includes the initial inspection and final cleaning.
After we have stopped all the leaks into surrounding areas; there can still be residual water behind the tiles that needs to dry naturally. This can take up to 8 weeks depending on the climate.
Jobs are warranted depending on their condition – up to seven years. The grout resealing process will prolong the need to do major work to the bathroom. The wall and floor tiles must be in good condition, and no broken, loose or drummy tiles. There also must be a fall to the drain. Basically the area must be solid, sound and in good condition and not be undergoing structural movement.
Grout resealing is a lot cheaper and takes a lot less time. Retiling would be the end solution, The resealing process will prolong the need to undertake major retiling.
